Our Makers

I’ve heard that the easiest path to riches is drawing pictures, so in June 2018 I quit a full-time grownup job with benefits (that I was obviously excelling at, because quitting is what people do when things are going well) to pursue a career as an artist. I now have suspicions that I may have been lied to RE: heaps of money, but I am very happy regardless.
Based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, I’ve been painting and illustrating digitally for over 15 years, and have almost as many years of experience in Photoshop.
I used to have a much meaner sense of humour but these days I feel it is my duty as an artist in an increasingly exhausting world to try to shine a rosy light on some of the under-appreciated or unknown people and places around me, whether that means painting a snowy landscape when we’re sick of winter, gussying up that building I walk by every day, or illustrating the people at a cool city event, in-jokes and all. I also write and draw comics, and paint murals!
I like small potatoes but big potatoes are better, so I’m always looking for new challenges and ways to expand my skills. Feel free to reach out! Especially if iced coffee is involved. Someday I want to be like the big blueberry girl from Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory but with iced coffee. Just a big ol’ round fleshbag full of it. Roll me around, I don’t give a care.
