Art Soap Life

Art Soap life is a small business in Winnipeg, MB run by Rebecca Haverluck, a Winnipeg born artisan and artist. Everything sold is handmade from scratch in small batches to ensure quality. She has been making art for as long as she can remember and fell in love with soapmaking in 2013. Manufacturing soap and skincare became a business after a few years of experimenting, gifting to friends and family and truly wanting to provide skin care that is natural, versatile and effective. In 2016, she started selling at farmers markets and craft shows and organically grew to include retail partners and an Etsy shop in 2017, and her own online shop in 2020.

The soaps are all made using the cold process method with select organic or local oils and butters. All the skincare is made with raw ingredients that nourish your skin. Organic extra virgin olive oil, Manitoba hempseed oil, organic virgin coconut oil, organic expeller pressed sunflower oil, organic cocoa butter, and organic shea butter are the common base ingredients used to keep skin soft. Clay, ground botanicals, and spices are used to colour our soaps, no artificial dyes or additives. All products are free from palm, soy, canola, phtalates, parabens, and our ingredients are earth friendly and ethically sourced. Therapeutic grade essential oils make up the scent blends, no artificial fragrances are used.

Local sourcing is important to this company. The beeswax is from Manitoba. The tallow is rendered locally from pasture-raised Manitoba beef. All ingredients and packaging are sourced locally or from within Canada. Art Soap Life collaborates with local craft breweries to make beer soap and hop infused balm, uses homegrown botanicals from local farmers markets or our own garden to infuse our skin care, and contracts local artisans to make custom designed eco-friendly natural birch boxes for balms and salves. The cedar soap dishes with a custom cellular design are also laser cut here in Winnipeg. Art Soap Life focuses on supporting the people and communities around it.

Rebecca incorporates her own artwork into the labeling for a unique, eye catching design that emanates the organically based skin care. She puts her passions and values into everything she makes. You can find her art prints and cards for purchase alongside the skin care line and incorporated into the theme of her products.

Thanks for supporting small, local business! It means the world to this maker and her community.
