Good People. Good Food. Good Life.

Vegnola™ is the first product line under our parent food company Good People Foods® – a company with the goal of sharing the power of clean, delicious, beautiful and nutritious foods. At Good People Foods Inc., we envision a world built upon equality, fairness and empowerment. We encourage living a healthy lifestyle, celebrate diversity, and hope to fill people with the love of life and real, wholesome food. Regardless of taste, colour, gender, orientation or identification, we are all good people.

Software developer and mom of two, Dav created a unique line of raw granolas and granola bars during her first pregnancy as a quick, healthy alternative to commercial breakfast options. It was not long after launching these products in stores across Winnipeg that she received wonderful feedback, which led her to explore a long-time passion for cooking, an understanding of ingredients and nutrition, and suddenly, the whole new world of business product development. Dav began to test and explore creative ways to expand on the original recipes and make a unique toasty baked granola that would stand out on the shelves in colour and depth of flavour. Naturally, she looked to the power of vegetables and spices - vibrant, hearty varieties like beets, carrots, turmeric, cardamom and ginger – to infuse intense flavour, fibre, essential vitamins and minerals, natural fats and antioxidants, and of course, beautiful colour into the granola.

And if you’re wondering about how the name Good People Foods came about – it really comes down to a simple and perfect conversation between Dav, her husband and her two kids riding home in the car one evening. Out of the blue, Dav’s 3-year-old daughter (at the time) piped up from the back seat and asked sweetly: “Mommy, are we good people?" After a little chuckle with her husband at the sudden thought of calling the company just that, the idea seemed to linger on her mind. Until one day, it just felt right – it couldn’t be unstuck. So, it was confirmed, she would name her parent company Good People Foods. After all, we are all good people!
