Michelle Aldie : CEO, Designer
Wheat & Waves is my passion and my purpose! Creating jewelry is more than just a creative outlet for me, it is an opportunity for me to continue contributing to society in a new way.

After working in Northern Manitoba as a police officer, I was diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Life, as I knew it, had changed forever! I resigned from the RCMP in 2014 and in the following year my son was born. He gave me a new perspective on life and I became a stay at home parent and yoga instructor.

Aside from making jewelry, instructing yoga classes, and being a mom, I thrive in quiet, calm environments. I enjoy horseback riding, drawing and guided meditations.
Through my recovery process I have been learning about the mental health benefits of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I believe that these, and other resources, should be readily available to all Canadians.

Cara Veldman: Assistant
Cara's drive for life is simply intoxicating; From combining to bookkeeping, there isn't much that this wife and mom of five can't and won't do! Cara is passionate about Human Rights and about providing an opportunistic future for all children; she is an advocate for foster care and adoption, has volunteered in Africa, and has recently added home-school teacher to her resume!

When she's not busy doing all-the-things, you might find Cara sipping a cup of coffee, educating others about Essential Oils, or if she's lucky, in one of Napa Valley's vineyards.

Grace Petrie: Assistant
Grace is made of all things nice! She is talented, creative, and adventurous! This girl is not afraid to dive into something new and take advantage of life's opportunities! In fact, the wanderer in her has recently brought her and her boyfriend to Australia, where they backpacked and explored the Outback!

Grace graduated from Carman Collegiate in 2019, and is currently studying (and acing) Social Media Development. She loves fashion, enjoys snapping pictures, and spending time with her three sisters on Gimli Beach!
